I take great care and attention in the creation of my jewellery.

'The ethos of my business is to produce bespoke pieces of jewellery which have been lovingly designed and created.

The customer works with me to create the design which will be perfectly suited to their requirements.

After teaching students about how to manage a small business as part of my job for many years, I decided to try it out for myself. I have taken what was a hobby and turned it into a business.

This was a result of many different variables but mostly because family and friends encouraged me.

I still love teaching but my creative side has been let loose in my designing and creating unique pieces of jewellery and this leads to a very fulfilling life.

Design inspirations

Many of my designs have been inspired by the colours in nature - sea, sky, flowers, foliage, sunrise, sunset and the beautiful scenery where I live. My design inspiration also comes from the individual who is requesting a commissioned piece. I feel that the jewellery should enhance the wearer and not overshadow them. The jewellery should be comfortable to wear and fine but strong.

I also love working with silver and different gemstones. I am always fascinated by the fact that these gemstones have been in the earth for sometimes thousands, even millions of years - this makes them very precious in themselves.

I have always been creative - even at ** years old when I took part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award and excelled in needlework and embroidery. I have completed projects in dressmaking, soft toy making, cross stitch, knitting, crocheting, fancy dress costumes, reupholstery of chairs and cushions. I have even successfully put a variety of flatpack furniture units together!

All of these have been really enjoyable but I have found that designing and making jewellery is something that I am really passionate about. I like to experiment with new mediums and designs in order to create very unique and individual pieces of jewellery.
