The Most Versatile of Venues

The Amadeus is adaptable and flexible. The Upper Hall’s large elegant windows with stained glass borders provide wonderful natural illumination. The original pipe organ, wood panelled balcony and graceful Victorian architecture complete the impressive effect. It typically holds 180 guests for dining.

The smaller Lower Hall (seating 80) is a tranquil white space with a brick vaulted ceiling, columns and white wooden floor. Originally the chapel crypt, it also makes for a very special blessing ceremony. Both halls have excellent acoustics and sound insulation.

An ideal combination is to hold a drinks reception in the Lower Hall followed by the wedding breakfast in the Upper Hall, with a disco or band in either hall afterwards.

Book one or both halls, choose from our award winning caterers, or if you prefer provide you own chef for the day. Whatever you decide for your perfect wedding, a wedding reception at The Amadeus is guaranteed to make your day stand out in a space and with a service that is as unique and individual as you. “The building is excellently laid out with two floors, and gorgeously decorated upper hall.

Make your event stand out

Both Upper and Lower halls have extensive natural lighting. Candlelight is especially effective in either which, with the addition of floral displays, quickly creates a delightful atmosphere. Or transform the magnificent Upper Hall into a lavish dining room and add a canopy of pealights that float above you for a subtle, magical effect.

Our in-house decorator Red Cat Lighting is happy to discuss exciting themes and ideas to create a truly memorable occasion. Or you can arrange your own!

It’s all about you

Our ‘anything and everything possible’ approach is designed so we do all the hard work while you host your party comfortable and relaxed. We offer:

* Recommendations for disco hire, entertainment or live bands
* Security and cloakroom staff
* An on-hand manager to deal with any and every request on the night itself.

Both halls can be hired individually or together. The Upper Hall seats up to 180 guests while the lower hall typically holds 80. The kitchen can run a full scale banquet service or a simple buffet. We are also happy for you to provide your own catering.

However you choose to plan your party the Amadeus team warmly welcome you to our exclusive, adaptable and very affordable home.

A little bit different - a lot like home...

Situated in London's Little Venice we are a pleasant 15 minute stroll from Paddington station, or less than 5 minutes walk from Warwick Avenue tube, Bakerloo line.

Formerly a 19th century Welsh Presbyterian Chapel the building was sensitively renovated in 1989. In keeping with the original purpose of the building Amadeus Centre Limited (ACL) bequeaths all of its profits to Subud, an international charitable organisation committed to doing good works in the world, affiliated with the United Nations. Because of our charitable status we do not to charge VAT, greatly reducing our prices.

The building itself boasts an impressive Upper Hall, a more intimate Lower Hall (originally the Crypt), kitchen and cafe area, plus two modern meeting rooms. It is compact enough for exclusive use, but flexible enough to accommodate two smaller groups. Our clients frequently refer to the building having a level of comfort and 'feeling at home' that sets us apart.

From the moment you first pick up the phone our experienced staff are ready to discuss ideas, suggest menus and accommodate your needs. We especially want you to stamp your own personal mark on your day.

We have our own tailored catering, or a choice of 5 carefully selected quality caterers that provide a wide range in style and price. We can decorate, suggest themes and provide entertainment. Or if you prefer you can bring some or all of it yourself.

From start to finish we pride ourselves on our adaptability, flexibility and 'anything and everything possible' attitude. Aside from the obvious appeal of our prices, we believe this is why 75% of our clientele come from repeat business and recommendation.
