I love taking pictures. From an early age, I can remember begging my dad to let me take a photo with his Voigtländer range finder while we were on holiday and then looking forward to seeing the slideshow weeks later once they been developed. Once I was earning money, I bought a real camera, with * different lenses! It was all manual, and a great way to learn the art.

My passion grew, and photography became a serious hobby, up there with my passion for fishing! The opportunity to fish declined, but the photography expanded, and it remained a serious hobby for many years. During this time I photographed over ** weddings for family and friends, took lots of portraits in time for Christmas, and plenty of landscape pictures for my own pleasure. I was constantly amazed (and still am!) when people like my images, and I always dreamed of being able to one day earn a living doing what I love.

With a great wife and two gorgeous children (who feature a few times on this site!) and a fat mortgage, it was a scary decision to become a self employed photographer. I am very pleased to have made the move and wish I'd done it sooner!

I've always been able to successfully capture the character of children as they play. In this day and age however, pointing a camera at children can be misinterpreted. I have been police checked and hold an enhanced CRB certificate, to work with children of all ages and vulnerable adults. I have worked in many schools and nurseries, providing photos for prospectuses and displays in reception areas.

Based in Ilford, East London, I am ideally situated to work in and around London, as well as Essex and further afield.
