The Atlantic Trio was formed in Yucatan, Mexico, whilst working together in the Yucatan Symphony Orchestra. Its members, Kate Jonathan and Suzanna have performed together in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Latin America. They have worked with musicians such as Placido Domingo, Lord Yehudi Menuhin, Richard Clayderman and Yuri Bashmet.

As chamber musicians they have performed in venues such as the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Purcell Room, the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, and the Covent Garden Opera House. Clients of members of the Atlantic Trio have included Chelsea Football Club and Earl Charles Spencer.

The Atlantic Trio's repertoire of classical, jazz, and popular music also includes a wide range of pieces from Latin America collected on their travels throughout the region.
