Welcome to Indian Summer's world of fantasy. We're an unusually versatile band. One incarnation is as a folk - rock band with a heavy dose of funk - the rhythm section also works in fusion bands!

We play traditional mediaeval music. And we play traditional Ceilidhs - Irish / Scots / English dances - reels, jigs, hornpipes, polkas; ideal for weddings and birthdays.

Our nearest relatives are Pentangle, Steeleye Span and Clannad. We cover songs by all these bands, also Scots, Irish and English traditional ballads and broadsheet songs; we perform a wide range of Appalachian and Cajun songs, and produce a great deal of original material. There's a cycle about King Arthur on the Sword of Power album; Lake of Tears is strongly Celtic; A Christmas Past features mediaeval carols; Rogues, Wrecks and Rebels is traditional folk, 'does what it says on the label'.

Mediaeval Events

Annie grew up mad about the tales of King Arthur, and studied La Matière de Bretagne at college, as well as Chrétien de Troye's Arthurian poems. The result has been a whole world of mediaeval music, re-enactments, banquets and original songs about King Arthur and the Round Table.

We are available for costumed events, reenactments, banquets, Goth weddings/ mediaeval entertainments.
