This will be a short story. It all began on the Spring of 2009 at my nephew's 7th birthday party, Shaun.

We were invited to his party by a really nice birthday party invite, which I will always keep. It was written by his handwriting and edited by a graphic designer – his mother and my sister Audrey. I knew some family members were invited and thought the party will be an ordinary birthday party for a child. We arrived at the house on time and gave our kisses and hugs.
I knew my mom & dad were arriving from the States for the party and would bring a few things for everybody, so we all kind of gained of these parties. My parents came to visit 2-3 times a year and always for a good 2-3 weeks at a time.
People started arriving for the party and I was meeting my cousins and other friends of our family. There was a little stage set up and I guessed it was for some sort of performance Shaun would give on his Harmonica, in any event, it's pretty normal to see a stage at a party. My sis announced everybody to take their places and sit down.

We were about 40 people in the house. She said Shaun will now perform what he had planned for us all. We applauded and there came Shaun. He did his thing and quite well if I may say. When he got off the stage Audrey then said the Magician will begin his show in just one minute. The lights were dimmed again and dramatic background music began just before the magician stepped into the stage light. I couldn't believe my eyes, Jason 'The Magician' our brother from NY stepped on stage and began his show. The first person he looked at was me. We hadn't seen each other in about 2 years, since he was stationed overseas for the US Military. He was always a magician and kept practicing magic after he was released from the Military.

I bounced off my chair and almost fell down. I can't believe how Audrey and the family kelp this secret from me for such a long time. Jason and I are twin brothers and not being together for such a long time is very hard, ask anybody who has a twin sister or brother.

Jason did his magic show and entertained the family with his spectacular new tricks which I have never seen him do before. He finished his act standing in front of my chair and said 'Thank you'. We hugged and kissed as if we didn't see each other for 2 years, it was true.
This was the best birthday party I have been to, which turned into a family reunion.
