The Cornwallis Lounge, Peacock Room, King Charles Room and Grand Salon are all licensed
for Civil Wedding Ceremonies and provide a variety of sizes and styles that is unique to Ruthin Castle. Please note that a Civil Ceremony can only be booked in conjunction with a full Wedding Reception at Ruthin Castle.

Wedding Receptions in North Wales

For Wedding Receptions we can also offer a choice of wonderful rooms to suit the occasion - from the massive, sparkling, crystal chandelier and glittering mirrors of the Grand Salon which opens onto the Terrace Garden, to the less formal but charming Peacock Room which opens onto the Rose Garden, or a fun, themed costume wedding in the Mediaeval Banquet Hall which adjoins the Italian Garden and mediaeval walled garden.

We can provide a setting for the smallest, most intimate wedding or for a maximum of around *** within the hotel but the grounds also allow the option of a marquee to accommodate larger numbers or simply to capture the outdoor feeling of Spring or Summer. It is one of the most secluded wedding venues in North Wales and can also be booked for exclusive use.

Mediaeval Style Themed Weddings

One of the options available to couples getting married at Ruthin Castle is to enjoy a Mediaeval style
wedding during which guests can join in the fun and choose a Mediaeval Costume from the vast selection of elaborately hand-finished gowns and outfits in our Costume Room (additional charges apply).

Celebrate your union by enjoying the authentic flavour of mediaeval living, quaff wine from the pewter goblets and mead from clay cups and eat a nourishing four-course mediaeval meal with a dagger.
Be entertained by the harp music and the singing of the Ladies of the Court, who are watched over by the jealous eyes of the Court Steward.
