His photographic roots come from a passion born with the ability to identify those special moments only found in the eyes of a Bride, a Parent and Grandparent. Born and raised in the Midlands but always with a yearning for broader horizons which drew him out to the coast and open fields and forests. Moving south gave him a new perspective and urged him on to even fresher fields eventually settling in Spain and the Canary Islands for several years. Spain became a springboard that enabled him to have many visits to Moscow and St Petersburg to discover yet another culture. Russia to this day haunts him to return. It is with this experience of new countries and their people he is able to identify with their cultures and enjoy capturing their agreeable personalities.

Scotland is the most beautiful country in the world to Mike. There is no other place that presents such dramatic backdrops of mountains, glens, burns and lochs - wonderful material for wedding photography.
