How many people attend so many weddings that they know instinctively what to do and when to do it? The answer is actually very few but the Best Man is often expected to fill this role. Some parts of the day can be organised by the venue’s catering manager but few are qualified in the operation of the whole day.

Your Toastmaster is available to give helpful advice to the Bride from the time he is booked. On the day, he will arrive well before the wedding party is expected in order to liaise with the venue management. From then on he will greet the party as they arrive and ensure that the Bride & Bridegroom do not meet until the ceremony is due to start (if at the venue).

After the ceremony your Toastmaster will liaise with everyone who is helping to make your day special. These include photographers, videographers, catering staff, management, entertainers—everyone who is there to ensure that your day is really special for you—until he introduces you onto the floor for your first dance as Mr. & Mrs.

No two weddings are exactly the same. Jewish, Greek, Italian and Indian weddings often have a different structure to an English wedding. If your Toastmaster is a Member of the Guild of International Professional Toastmasters he will be fully trained to perform at all weddings.

At the end of the day though, it is the Bride who has the final say on the arrangements. The Toastmaster’s job is to ensure that the Bride has her perfect day.

Trained at the famous Ivor Spencer School for Toastmasters, Bob Parker was examined and admitted as a Fellow of the Guild of International Professional Toastmasters.

During his years of service, Bob has officiated at many events including Weddings, Civic Dinners, Masonic Ladies Nights, Burns Night Suppers, Company Dinners and Product Launches, — in fact any event which requires the expert guidance of an organisational expert.

A fully trained Toastmaster is able to advise on any matters of formality and protocol. Your Toastmaster is appointed to help you and your guests enjoy any event and to ensure that it is run in the way that you want it to be. He should not be officious, aloof or dictatorial.

Help in organising your event

Making announcements are just part of the work that your Toastmaster carries out to ensure the success of your event. He will give you invaluable advice before the event and ensure that you are well prepared to meet every eventuality during it.

Whilst weddings make up the majority of most Toastmasters work, we specialise in other events also.

Although Bob is based on the Essex/Herts Border, travelling distance is no problem. As well as his 'home' counties, Bob has worked in London, Kent, Norfolk, Sussex, Suffolk, Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Buckinghamshire.

Bob Parker has attended numerous Civic Dinners and is widely experienced in Civic Protocol.

Masonic Ladies Festivals are another event in which Bob has many years of experience.

Burns Night Suppers, Company Dinners and Product Launches and Receptions are other gatherings at which Bob has officiated.
