The Lake George Perfect Proposal |
It was memorial day weekend 2006, my lovely boyfriend and I went on a little weekend getaway. We arrived @ Lake George Saturday afternoon. The weather was beautiful and we were determined to have a wonderful time. We planned to do so many things and we did everything we planned and more. We went horse-back riding, to The Great Escape, to the movies, we hit the Fun spot, went shopping, played miniature golf, ate in many nice restaurants and much more. The weekend was wonderful but the highlight for me is what I describe below.
Saturday evening, we arrived back at the hotel and he asks me to sit outside with him for a little bit. The night was still young, the weather was nice and our surrounding were so romantic that even though I was tired I couldn't resist. As we sat there looking up at the starry night he pulls out a card. He shows it to me but says he wants to read it to me. I thought that was a bit weird but didn't make much of it cause we are both weird like that. The card was beautiful and his words left me speechless and in tears. After he read it he turns to me, puts his hand in his pocket and says..."With that said, will you marry me?" He pulls out an elegant and delicate looking black box, pops it open and in it lies the perfect ring. Tears continue to roll down my cheeks as I look at him and say "Yes." He slips the ring onto my finger and it fits just right. It is the perfect ring just like I always dreamed. With the perfect boy, the one who blew my heart away so many years ago. On the perfect night. What more can a girl possibly ask for?
