I am a baptist from N.C and my fiance is Catholic and from Costa Rica. We are having 2 weddings, but I want the one in the U.S to have his traditions too. Please help! I want my family to learn about his culture.
I'm marrying a catholic man from mexico and some of the traditions of a mexican wedding involve a really long rosary called a "laso" and gold coins. The laso is draped over the bride and groom in a figure 8. The priest then blesses the couple. The gold coins are presented to the couple by a member of the wedding party or a friend to symbolize prosperity.
I'm not sure if these are solely mexican traditions or if they might be found throughout latin american. I hope this helps!
Another Tradition that is Mexican is pinning money on the bride and groom when you dance with them, money for there honeymoon or whatever. But again I don't know this might only be a Mexican tradition
There is a really cook website called hispanicweddings.com. They sell hispanic wedding supplies, and interracial cake tops. I emailed them and asked if they were getting any more products. They said that they are new and they are adding new items every week.
HERE 'S A GREAT BOOK I FOUND.....

Message like Maddie's are pretty stupid. Men lots of times are clueless on what is done in their culture. This board is to ask questions and answers like yours should be kept to yourself. Insulting people doesn't help.
