Get the coordinator, you will not regret the extra money spent and you won't have the frustrations and worries that most people have. Just try to find a good one. Look for someone who has been in the business for a while, see if there are any complaints about the person or their business. Ask for references from past customers. Do the homework now so that you are not doing too much work later.
I don't really think anyone needs a wedding coordinator unless they don't have the time to do it themselves. I am VERY particular about my wedding and the very thought of a coordinator made me frustrated. Like most brides I've had an idea of what my wedding would be like since I was a little girl and I didn't want to deal with having to relate my idea to another person, possibly getting the message lost in communication (ever played telephone?) Plus, I have a tight budget and wedding coordinators in Hawai'i are EXPENSIVE. But, I say its all personal choice, so if it will help you feel at ease about your day, and you have the cash for it, then go for it.
