My fiance' and I are planning on getting married in 2006 and my girlfriend strongly recommended we seriously consider Wedding Sponsors. This is all new to us and we're not sure where and how to get started. Any leads?
Um...don't. Now, I'm not trying to be mean, but I just want you to ask yourself a question, what makes you and your fiance so special that you, out of thousands upon thousands of brides, deserve a free wedding? There are so many of us out there who can't afford a dream wedding or some who can't afford a wedding at all. I mean, myself, case in point. I am mega-super poor, and so are my parents. My wedding will cost less than $2000 and it is still going to be great and elegant. Now if I, and the many brides on this site, can find ways to have beautiful weddings on whatever small budgets we have, I see no reason why you and your fiance can't. Get creative, you've got time, spread out the costs over that time and it will be much easier. Read the posts on this site for ideas on how to save money and/or do things yourself. But don't ask for a handout when so many people are needy and still doing it themselves. When I first heard of sponsored weddings I thought it was a great idea for a second and almost considered looking into it, then I took one more second to really think about it and thought why would I, or any one person, feel like they should be so special as to have their wedding for free when everyone else is working hard to acheive their dreams? I promptly changed my mind, realizing the truth, sponsored weddings are a copout of responsibility, we americans seem to always be looking for a free ride when we should be taking care of ourselves. I really don't mean to put you down in any way, I hope only that you and your fiance will take the time to look at this idea from all sides. I wish you the best and good luck planning your wedding. Hi,I am new at this also.I've been with my fiance for five year's and we are planning to get married on 03-14-07.I really wanna get married this year but I cant afford it.I love him so much.We have four kid's together and it's hard. My oldest daughter keep's asking me "when are you and daddy getting married",I tell her soon. I really wish that I could get married some time this year,My fiance work's hard for us.Both me and him really want this bad,but we know that a wedding right now is way out of our budget. So if some one out there could find it in there heart's to make our dream wedding come true it will make us and our children happy.We will do any thing to make our dream's come true .
