I am in DIRE need of a Maggie Sottero Arabella Marie skirt in white. Ideally, I need a size 14, but can work with a 12 or 16 as well.
I wanted the black top with white accents that came with the Arabella style (which comes with a slim chiffon skirt only), but the full white ball room skirt from the Arabella Marie style (which comes with a white top with black accents). Both dresses have the exact same top, but the colors reversed. The manufacturer wouldn't mix one top with the other skirt, and I was ready to buy two dresses to get what I wanted but my bridal shop told me they could easily make me the skirt instead. So I ordered only the dress with the colored top I wanted, and trusted my seamstress to recreate the skirt (she has the dress in Mocha to work from).
My wedding is October 17th.. I went in today for my first skirt fitting and it's NOTHING AT ALL like the original Arabella Marie skirt! I nearly cried -- The fabric they bought was cheap and thin and they assured me it would look the "same" when backing was added. But there is no way it'll fall the same way -- I know my fabrics. And they said that this fabric was the closest they could find. :(
Needless to say, I'm in a panic to try and find the skirt in white. I don't care if I need to buy the whole dress, or what color the associated top is, I just need that bottom skirt inside of 2 1/2 weeks. Can anyone help save my sanity, and my wedding day?? :(
