Well, i know that besides the doll, which was already posted, the quinceanera is given a tiara, earings, a rosary, and a bible. Also, the father of the quinceanera changes her shoes (which are flats) and put on her feet heels, which is the transition from childhood to woman hood. Also, the father has an honorary dance with the quinceanera. Also, the quinceanera has a court, ususally made of 14 people, either her 14 best girlfriends or both girls and boys. THey ususally do a choreographied dance (a ballroom waltz), along with the quinceanera and her father. I hope that helps!
I'm not having 14 girls. I am having 5 ladies and 5 gents. I chose family and very very close friends. I wanted people who were not going to back out, not have the money to pay for the dresses etc. I chose responsible people who knew the tradition and understood how important it was to me. You do not have to have 14, you can have any number even if you only want 4.
