What a rude thing to say. If she wants swans then she should have swans. It is her wedding not yours.

Although she was a bit blunt, I don't think Linda was meaning to be rude. The original post asked for any suggestions and Linda made one. The fact is, she's right too about the trend for invitations; simple and elegant is the way to go. However, if someone wants swans, then yes I agree they should have swans.
So, my post to the original post is this- look in any bridal magazine and there are a zillion little inserts for bridal catalogs of all kinds. I called one number and received over 20 invitation catalogs -- several of which had swan invitations.
