The SO and I have a special fondness for ice cream, so for our favor, we have old fashioned ice cream bowls that have been engraved with our monogram. The wait staff will bring them out (with ice cream in them, of course) when they serve the cake.
We are trying to incorporate this into our escort cards - e.g. Attaching either gelato spoons or those wooden ice cream spoons from the ice cream truck and have the table numbers on them.
That said, I have two questions: First, can anyone think of good wording for the escort cards? A cute poem or nicely worded prose that'll allude to the ice cream?
Second, considering about half of our guests are over the age of 50, and the other half are mid- to late- 20s, will folks know what the gelato spoons are, or just think they're tiny beach shovels? We like the look of the gelato spoons, but do you think the wooden spoons would make more sense?
