How should I address my invitations if they are tri-fold? Is it tacky to address them as follows:
Ms. Melissa Smith & Guest
Mr. & Mrs. Smith & Family.
There is no "inside" card so the addresses are only printed on the invitations once.
Megan,
First, if you are inviting someone who has a fiancee or significant other, you should find out their name. If they are living together, you may send one invitation to them addresses as follows:
Miss Jane Doe
Mr. John Smith
If they are not living together, find out the guest's name and address and send them their own invite.
For everyone that is a married couple, it is okay that the names are only printed once. I would use the more formal way:
Mr. And Mrs. John Smith
Miss Katie Smith
Mr. Tommy Smith ( Master Tommy Smith if elementary age)
Be sure you list everyone's name; this makes the kids feel special too.
